About the School

Holy Cross Convent School & Jr. College, Kalyan, an English Medium School for girls, was founded in 1974. It is owned and managed by the Maharashtra Holy Cross Sisters Society. The institute belongs to the religious congregation, “The Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross” founded by Fr. Thedosius Florentini and Mother Maria Theresa Scherere in 1856 in Switzerland. It renders a variety of Social, Medical and Educational services in different parts of the world. In India the sisters are actively working in eighteen different states. The noble task of education is carried on in Colleges, High Schools, Teachers Training Schools and over eighty Primary and Pre-Primary Schools.
